Welcome to Mentoring for Youth! We're thrilled to have you on board. To ensure a seamless and productive experience, we've created a step-by-step guide on using our platform.
Step 1: Sign Up
- Register using your time zone, name, email, and password.
- Verify your email address by clicking on the confirmation link sent to your inbox.
Step 2: Complete Your Profile
- Log in to your account and click on the "Profile" tab.
- Fill out your personal information, including your name, bio, and profile picture.
- Set your notification preferences to control how you receive updates from us.
- Write a brief description of yourself, including your interests, goals, and what you're looking for in a mentor.
Step 3: Find a Mentor
- Click on the "Find a Mentor" tab.
- Browse our list of mentors and filter by category, subject, or topic.
- View mentor profiles, introduction videos, and reviews.
- Use the search bar to find mentors with specific skills or expertise.
Step 4: Book a Session
- Choose a mentor and click on the "Book a Session" button.
- Select a date, time, and duration for your session.
- Pay for the session via PayPal, stripe
- Receive a confirmation email with session details and a link to join the session.
Step 5: Manage Your Sessions
- Click on the "My Sessions" tab.
- View your booked sessions, and status, and access session materials and recordings.
- Rate and review your mentor after the session.
- Cancel or reschedule sessions up to 24 hours in advance.
Step 6: Explore Courses
- Click on the "My Courses" tab.
- Browse and purchase courses.
- View course materials, lessons, and course certificates.
- Access courses at any time and review at your own pace.
Step 7: Communicate with Mentors
- Click on the "My Messages" tab.
- Initiate chats with mentors and view conversations.
- Send messages to mentors to ask questions or clarify doubts.
Step 8: Favorite Mentors, Group Sessions, and Courses
- Mark your favourite mentors, group sessions, and courses for easy access.
- Quickly book sessions or purchase courses from your favourite mentors.

- Resume (PDF or Word Doc)
- Certificates (relevant to your expertise)
- DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or police check (required for verification purposes)
Step 2: Complete Your Profile
- Fill out your personal information, including:
- Profile picture
- Bio (brief description of yourself)
- Notification preferences (control how you receive updates)
- Write a detailed description of yourself, including:
- Your expertise
- Experience
- Education
- Achievements
Step 3: My Categories
- Select your specialisation (e.g., Career Mentoring, Academic Mentoring)
- Choose your subjects and topics of expertise
Step 4: Create Group Sessions
- Set up group sessions:
- Choose free or paid options
- Select grade ranges
- Choose categories, subjects, and topics
- Set maximum participants
- Add session materials and recordings
Step 5: My Calendar
- Set your availability for appointments on the calendar
- Mentees can book sessions based on your availability
Step 6: Coupons
- Create coupon codes for discounts on sessions or courses
Step 7: My Course Manager
- Create and edit courses:
- Select free or paid options
- Enter course title, price, category, subject, topic, age, and grade
- Upload course introduction videos, images, and descriptions
Step 8: My Appointments
- View all booked schedules
- Cancel appointments if needed
Step 9: Payouts
- Request payouts via your:
- Stripe account
- PayPal
- Cinet Pay
- View:
